The 650KW Cummins Natural Gas Generator (Prime) is a high-capacity gaseous-fuel generator designed for demanding commercial and stationary power applications. Rated at 650 kW / 813 kVA at 60 Hz, the unit combines a Cummins GTA50 engine with Stamford power generation technology for reliable, continuous operation.

At the heart of the generator is the Cummins GTA50, a 50.3-liter V16 engine featuring turbocharging and aftercooling, electronic governing, and an operating speed of 1800 RPM. Cummins’ GTA50 documentation describes the platform as a fully integrated gaseous-fuel power generation system intended for stationary standby and continuous power applications.

The engine is paired with a Stamford S5L1D-F4 brushless alternator. The generator cut sheet specifies Class H insulation, IP23 protection, AVR voltage regulation, and a 0.8 power factor. Stamford’s technical documentation further identifies the alternator as a 4-pole, 12-lead, winding 311 design.

Generator monitoring and control are handled by the Deep Sea DSE7310/7320 control platform. These controllers provide generator sensing and protection, configurable alarms, current and power monitoring, data logging, communications, and extensive engine monitoring capabilities. The DSE7320 additionally provides mains utility monitoring and automatic load-transfer control.

The complete generator is supplied in a silent, weatherproof enclosure measuring 228 × 88 × 100 inches with a listed net weight of 19,500 lbs. Voltage can be customized, with both single-phase and three-phase configurations available.
